I truly believe that there should be some restrictions/standards with using the word Canada in a company name, just as there are some with "Mountie image", which is protected. I know you can't trademark a country, but if a company wants to use the image of Canada we should not accept its misuse.

-"Canada" Steamship Lines, has had some environmental SNAFUs in Turkey and avoids paying income taxes (a very canadian pasttime) flying flags of convenience in Liberia then Barbados.
-Or when Roots refuses to deny that some of it's merchandise may have been made in sweatshops while at the same time displaying the ubiquitous "Canada" signature

Much in the same (albeit less extreme) way, Air "Canada" should be HAVE to provide its customers with bilingual service on the ground and in the air, not only in YUL and YQM.

Although ExAc, I fully agree that internal communications, memos and manuals shouldn't all be automatically translated "just for the sake of bilingualism". I really saw it from a customer's perspective.

But then how much of these extra costs have contributed to the insolvency of the airline is another question. If fear this will only give Milton a chance to find yet another scaegoat for his own poor business decisions.
