Thanks for the replies! It sounds like like I should arrive the day before (which would also let me fly Porter from IAD to YTZ and avoid this ground-transportation conundrum entirely), then be mindful of the option of a taxi/Uber/Lyft Friday depending on the conference schedule and those of the streetcar and UPX. FWIW, I am both a transit snob and kind of a cheapskate, so a taxi or ride-hailing service usually has to beat transit times by a sizable margin to justify the extra cost.
