Well I only partly agree. Branded fares are not a new thing invented by AC, so even the smallest of effort by any travel agent will fix any of the issues you mentioned.

That being said, I feel like the branding (pun intended) of the lower flex fares was done incorrectly when a consumer purchases on the AC website.

For a long time now AC has had "flex" and "high flex". No one has ever said on FT " how come sometimes I buy flex and I pay less eUps this is unclear etc etc". The website just booked the lowest flex available, and then you could also switch to high flex manually if you didn't get booked in MUH. For some reason that was always clear.

Now, AC basically introduced "low flex", but for some reason no one understands this. It's literally the exact same relationship as the "flex" vs "high flex", except that instead of being charged less credits you are charged the same amount of credits + a copay amount. There's literally no wizardry.

Should AC have introduced a new category instead? Perhaps. Personally, I don't think the new low flex needs a separate category the same way that MUH does not. But that's just MHO.

That being said, the AC website should absolutely let you choose between flex fares. The same way you used to be able to switch between regular flex and MUH, it should allow you to switch between all 3 new flex categories.
