It looks like it's an AA code fare on the transatlantic so you wouldn't be able to get the BA transcons anyway. There isn't a huge benefit to having BA codes on the transcons anymore, only a few more Avios - an AA code can book in D buckets domestically rather than BA fares only in I for the cheapest.
