45 minute check-in rule ruthlessly enforced?
This morning on my RDU-IAD run, the check-in counter was RUTHLESSLY enforcing a 45-minute check in rule, which is more than the 30 minutes they normally use. The lines were pretty long anyway, and this caused a number of folks to miss the flight, with zero sympathy from the gate agents.
Does anyone know if this 45-minute rule is something new, or did I just get lucky today and see a bad day? I'm all for getting planes in the air on time, but changing the rules without telling anyone made a whole bunch of enemies this morning.
What gives?
