Hi all - no luck with search so posting here.

I have a LHR-MIA booking in premium econ (S-class) coming up end of Feb where I was going out on VS117 to get there earlier in the day. That flight was subsequently cancelled, and I was rebooked on to VS5 apparently still in S-class.

Upon heading to MMB I was suprised to find that though VS listed me as being in premium economy, I was now stuck in 54H with no ability to change seats and get myself back into the actual premium econ cabin. My TA tells me Virgin is saying the flight's oversold (shocker after the cancellation...) and I may be moved back in if space opens as people upgrade into Upper but no guarantees. Can I expect a partial refund if I do end up stuck in economy? I'm surprised that this is the same fare class but am not at all convinced I'll get the same service / experience.
