There's a difference in tolerated and allowed. It's specifically prohibited by the FAA, which would apply to US flights on BA and also banned my most other aviation bodies.

was about to say that I don't think this is permissible on US airlines...although I did once buy a bottle of JW Blue on AA in F and the FA allowed me to drink it.
