So, got this sorted last night. BA.com flakiness necessitated a phone call but all sorted with very good grace - my first dealings with the Gold Line and I must say, I am very impressed. The lack of menus and hold time freaked me out but the agent did a great job and boshed through something not available online at "available online prices". The blizzard of "confirmation" emails and "changed bookings" suggests she had a bit of a time of it.
A bit of an "escalationo rapido" in our holiday plans, which was not - it's fair to say - conducive to a "bargain" in any reasonable interpretation of the term. However apparently it's still "good value". Ahem. And on that sphincter-twiching moment of checking this morning, we have apparently "saved" ourselves more than we overspent by...so is that a win? On this board. probably.
When I am getting fired into LPGS in the CCR in 10 months' time, I'm sure it will all make sense...
