I searched and found a few old posts on this topic, but would like more current information from those familiar with BOG. Is a one hour transit time on AV international to international reasonable? I would be checking a bag and flying in business. I am looking at flying LAX-BOG-GRU with the one hour transit at BOG. Is the transfer simple or do you need to pass through immigration, reclaim bags, recheck in/transfer desk, etc.? Any advice would be appreciated.

BOG is a huge airport around 40 millions passengers used this airport every year. take in to consideration that your flight might arrive to a remote location, that your arrival gate to your departure gate will be at the opposite side of the terminal.
IMO your time frame for connecting flights is too short and probably you will miss your intended flight. Give yourself a reasonable time. Your connecting flight time should be two hours or more.
AV has two lounges ( J lounge that is always crowded and a FF lounge that is super crowded) LA has a really good lounge with lots of space to choose from if you are not traveling with oneworld you can use priority pass to access this lounge.
