I greatly dislike 777s but the 3 class version isn't too bad in the forward cabin, it's not the dorm effect of the main 777 fleet and not so noisy (see other recent thread). That said IB's Business Class is very good, but it does make for a long trip, the MAD transit isn't my favourite end to the day. It's more on the return than flapping around MAD and then having a shorthaul service makes it a somewhat tedious experience. Personally I think both services are equally valid options within that context.
