Have the AC account entered on the ticket PNR --can be done at booking or call and ask for a phone / airport agent to enter it or change it at check-in.


This can get tricky as crediting is not real-time. You should want until the miles have credited to an account before switching to a different account or where miles get credited is a bit of a coin toss.

Have multiple orphan accounts can be problematic. The miles cannot be combined and you can easily end up with multiple accounts of unusable miles. Additionally, with mileage expiration policies, the miles may expire before you can get a critical mass of usable miles in any one account.
