It would seem Korean tourism has supplanted Japanese in Saipan and Micronesia more broadly. SPN has a fair amount of Korean LCC presence. Chinese tourism has grown, too.

It's a far cry from ~20-25 years ago when Japanese tourism to Guam/CNMI was a massive moneymaker for CO, with comparatively extensive 727/747/DC-10 service to both GUM and SPN.
