Now that AA has introduced a 4-segment limit on international awards, does anyone know how flights with a stop, but no change in flight number, are counted? There's many examples, an arbitrary one is AA180 PEK-LAX-LAS. I'm inclined to think this would be counted as one PEK-LAS segment, just as it would be for mileage earning, but does anyone know for sure?
