I've had 10,000 and my husband 10,000 as well due to 2 things - A) the IFE was particularly bad on WTP+ on a 747 and B) as I am deaf there was a lack of subtitles on a lot of the films and TV programmes. The technology is already there for subtitles and especially for TV comedy programmes - there should be no excuse. I know the Disability Discrimination Act does not cover airlines but someone should take the lead and roll it out to all IFE. It is very frustrating for me to not be able to enjoy the whole IFE like anyone else. I still pay the same price for a seat!
I tried again after flying CW - to be told thanks but nothing in the offing!! I wanted to see the Eddie the Eagle movie (I'm a skier!) but no subtitles. An old film I can forgive but a latest release at the cinema is totally unforgivable. Those in charge of selecting IFE should not allow any movie on without subtitles - even dubbed into several languages for those whom English is not their first language.
FWIW - I downloaded Eddie the Eagle to watch when ill and it still didn't have subtitles!!
