Last year (July 2017) I was offered 10,000 avios for a broken IFE in First, HKG-LHR. The crew also offered me a bottle of champagne to take away to try and make up for things too.
I accepted the avios without question as I didn't know the going rate, it wasn't a huge deal for me (I mostly wanted to eat and then sleep), and I didn't want to commit time and energy to trying to get anything more.
