Non-functional IFE: typical compensation award?

Should I expect any compensation for a totally non-functional IFE in WT+ on one of the old 747s that go from LHR-LAS?
I received an initial offer of 5k Avios, but after reading some posts this seemed a little low. So I prolonged the complaint and sent a reply.
This has been rebuffed, with a letter which seems to refer to totally unrelated BA outages, mentioning "disruption on a huge scale". Maybe they think I am claiming for the BA computer crash?

You’re clearly unhappy with the compensation we’ve offered you and I understand why, but please let me explain our position.
You mentioned we didn’t tell you specifically which costs we would cover [I DID NOT] and you think our contribution towards your expenses isn’t appropriate for what you went through. When we’re disrupted on such a huge scale, we have to decide what we’ll cover depending on how our customers were affected. We know we have a responsibility to help you as much as we can. The contribution we’ve made towards your claim is in line with what we can offer and I hope you’ll understand we have to be consistent so we’re fair to all our customers. This means we can’t make an exception this time and I’m so sorry to let you down. I'm concerned to learned that this was your first experience in world traveller plus cabin and you had a bad experienced.
