I have read through most of this thread and with all the acronyms I am having trouble following all the talk of losing seat assignments etc
I am hoping someone can help me out
The return flight on my family UA award ticket to Hawaii begins with a segment on Hawaiian air. Even though I used my united Visa card I have to pay baggage fees on the return segment for all of us

howevee I just signed up everyone in my family for the Hawaiian air frequent flyer program to get discounted baggage fees but it must be the only ff number in the record for this to work

i of course discovered online I cannot make this change to my UA reservation and before I spend more time With HUCA etc I want to make sure changing this won't impact our seats or our itinerary in any other way.
