This got me thinking would it be possible to avoid this issue when the SWU clears call in and during the exchange process ask the agent to ensure that they reticket the exchange in “P” rather than some random coach fare?
I suspect during this process agents generally just reticket in the lowest available coach fare class rather than the original booking class, but seems like they should be able to manually select the appropriate fare class.
