I don't mean to harp on this issue, but I am hoping that the powers-that-be at AA are weighing this issue very seriously.
I'm finding myself getting more and more annoyed at having to be completely out-of-touch on long flights. AA does not fly enough domestic 767/777 routes for this to be anything other than a major inconvenience.
Verizon's Airfone service on UA, US, CO and others is now $0.10 per minute (plus $10/month on your VZW bill - WELL worth it for those of us who fly so much.) For AA to have zero communication options on all but two of its aircraft is pretty ridiculous, IMO.
Now that I no longer live in NY, and therefore transcon 767's are not an option, I am in the air for an entire business day without any communication. I'm not saying I'm the most important guy in the world or anything, but those of you in sales will agree, this kinda stinks at the end of the quarter.
