Going through Schengen arrivals from a non-Schengen flight shouldn't happen of course, but I can confirm that even when your passport is checked, it's an incredibly quick process at TRN. They have very few non-Schengen arrivals [in winter, it seems to be various London services, a couple to Romania, Morocco and not much else]. Departures is equally quick - there's none of the detailed scanning and checking you may see elsewhere.
