Can I apply for Schengen from one country and fly to the EU from another?
Hi! This is my first post on flyertalk...
I'm planning on spending Christmas in Sweden this year, so I was browsing and shopping for options because I want to book early and get cheaper prices... Long story short, Jordan sucks when it comes to travelling and it costs an absolute fortune to travel anywhere.
By complete chance I found out that I can get a flight that will cost me almost the fifth of what I would pay if I left from Israel instead, which is like only a couple of hours drive from where I live...
My question is, can I apply for a Schengen visa from Jordan, go to Israel and fly to Sweden from there?
Just to give you some perspective, actually paying for a tourist visa to Israel, travelling there, booking a hotel for 13 days for the purpose of getting the visa, and then flying to Sweden would still cost me almost half of what I would pay for simply booking a ticket from Jordan to Sweden directly XD
