They said I could have a hotel in downtown but made it sound very difficult to get to and back from there to the airport, ie 2 hour each way and arrange my own transport getting there , so did not want to get lost and it sounded like I would only be at the hotel 5 hours with the travel each way ,,, they have not been helpful and I am booked onto the 1am flight when they could of got me on the 11pm ,,
I have travel insurance so will call them upon arrival back to uk , the guy up above these posts got the flight numbers correct , I should of been on the 3.05pm to London ,

Two hours each way, must have expected you to ride a bicycle vs. take the Airport Express in 20 minutes and a short cab ride. Taxi drivers would not get lost from the AE HK station and any hotel CX would pay for, I am sure, and vice versa.
