The only difference for OP is that if this were an EU departure, he would likely be entitled to EUR 600 in compensation unless the delay is extraordinary. He would also be entitled to a duty of care which would mean hotel and meals appropriate to the time of day. I don't think it unreasonable not to supply a hotel room for a delay not including overnight, especially when lounge access is provided.

Anything else is worth a note to CX after you have arrived and are settled. Perhaps CX will toss something your way.

The extra day's parking is for your travel insurance.
