Related question, if I signed up for the free Ameriprise Amex Platinum card, since it technically doesn't have any sign up bonus, would I still be eligible for a future sign up bonus on the regular Amex Platinum card?
Yes and Yes, but the different bonus (fee waiver) on the Ameriprise card is not the reason you would would eligible for a bonus on the standard card. Each version of Platinum is a separate product.
