Going out from Milan, and back in to AMS (both legs via LHR) is coming out around £1,800 in Club World. You'll need a couple of positioning flights, but it's cheap to get to both those airports either with BA or another LCC, if you did these on BA then that'll be a few more TP too. If you go WT+ and UUA then it's just £973 for direct flights out on the 380 (CW is great upstairs) and back on a 747 ^ I've had a look on ExpertFlyer and there's CW award availability on the 29th, not on the 8th, but there is coming back on BA84 on the 9th - hope that helps!
Many thanks for the advice. I was looking at BA.com today and I couldn’t see any reward availability on the 9th. Just WT+. However, I was just looking at LHR returns. Does that mean reward availability opens up if I am returning via LHR to a different final destination? I’ll be looking at the suggested options again tonight. Presumably I would have to change the country of origin for the BA website to access these better fares?
