Not that it justifies a poor selection of IFE options (as the technology is there to charter for it) but I believe less and less pax are actually using the IFE system as most have what they want on their iDevices and Androids and I, for one, never use it other than staring for hours at the moving Map.

Did a few LAN flights in South America last year and all was available through their app and wifi onboard. Most likely this is the way forward...
