Last year, when I was still an Explorist, I've had a club certificate applied via twitter for 2 rooms. However, via email communication, I was told by the property they could not grant me this. I think it was more of a "lost in translation" thing. They apologized when I actually checked-in, and upgraded both of my rooms (instead of just having club lounge access).
