It is actually a 10 year permit to own a car. After 10 years you can renew it, for a small fortune. The car itself is largely irrelevant although the older/more expensive/less efficient it is, the more expensive it is to register and some have usage restrictions.

What I said is that the statement 'you have to sell your car after 10 years' is factually incorrect. Do you disagree?
