Yeah...it's not actually a wooden box... It's a cardboard box, and inside of the box, the metal card is "cradled" in a block of wood. If it was an actual wooden box, I would probably do the same as you are suggesting...

For those of you who did not get the nice packaging like [MENTION=702258]Gig103[/MENTION], here is a video I found on YouTube that shows the open box experience.
