Also it was nice to use the AS lounge whereas of course you need status or certain routes to use the AA ones.
Wow. I did CLL-DFW-PDX in F on AA last month and AA was hands down better (this was a 738 on the DFW-PDX section). More comfortable seat, better seat amenities (e.g. places to actually put things at your seat besides the seat back pocket), more plentiful food. Service interaction was comparable to AS.
