Delayed ski luggage!

Just after a little advice really.

I flew from London to Geneva early this morning for a week long skiing holiday. Upon arrival I received a text message from BA warning me that one of my bags didn't make the flight. This turned out to by my ski bag - containing extremely high end new skis and poles. Additionally, (to pad said skis) the bag contained my ski pants, 12 t-shirts, ski socks and thermal underwear.

I spoke to Dnata at Geneva Airport who had a list of 14 passengers on my flight whose bags wouldn't be arriving. They said they hope to get the bag to me ASAP but were unable to put a timeframe on it. I've been tracking using the baggage trace website but we have no joy as of yet.

I spoke to BA this morning and was told they would reimburse me for hiring skis today (Sunday) as we arrived in the resort early and had planned to ski. So far so good....

I borrowed one of my friends ski pants today as he had to do some work so didn't want to hit the slopes. The problem now is, I need my own pair + I need tshirts/thermal underwear and actual ski socks....

This will be expensive to buy in the resort - do you think BA reimburse me without much fuss? Or will they play fast and loose as seems to be increasingly the case.

Would really value your thoughts.

Cheers,
