And since we are talking about BKK, I would say that in that respect I found staff at BKK to be generally more pleasant and polite than average relative to other airports in the region, let alone NYC where mihaid is correct: the attitude of staff is dreadful and worst than anywhere else by a mile.
Agree that BKK staff are generally friendly. But complimenting them based on their being better than those at US airports is a bit like complimenting your local police force by comparison to the East German secret police or the Gestapo.
