UA agents and UA group desk will be of no helpas you can not book via UA with AC AP miles, you have to book with AP.

Not sure what can be accomplished in the UA forum. As you need to know the inventory released by UA to *NET for AC AP access. Don't know if UA agents have access to that information (although it is generally beleives X inventory is released to *NET but not XN)
