I typically choose these pairs of 2s on other airlines in high density configuration and they are by far the best economy seats on the plane with a full load. Deplaning is never too bad on a 2 aisle plane. On 787s and 777s, the lav doors open up toward the back galley, so that's never an issue.
However, it seems like AC blocks most of these seats out from advance selection. No matter how far out I check on a certain 77W route, these seats appear "occupied" even in the Latitude fare class. Does anyone know if AC makes these seats available at check-in or is there some other general time frame they open them up?
