i bought mine from Koffer-Direkt. I recently had some repair done to the shell of my Rimowa case (not a Lufthansa branded product) and I took this to a Rimowa store in Germany and they checked some numbers printed in the case somewhere and they took my case off me, two weeks later I got it back repaired. They didn’t ask how it happened, when or why. I had no provide no proof of purchase.
This doesnt mean all repairers are like this though...
