Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay? Yes, no complaints with the staff -- they were kind.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? Booked lowest Queen room and was upgraded to Grand King (from 135 sq feet to roughly 450 sq feet)

How are the rooms? Our view on the 12th floor was so-so. Overlooking Powell Street.

How was your complimentary welcome amenity? Not great. 1/2 bottle of pinot noir and some caramel corn -- definitely not in my profile.

Did you raid the minibar? If so, what did you take? Yes, one vodka mini

Were you offered a Chef's Taste at Dinner, If so, what did you receive? N/A

Did you use the free spa credit / did the hotel participate? If so, was it a good value? N/A

What was good and what was bad? Location good for a tourist weekend. It's a large hotel so there's a convention-ish vibe in the lobby/bar area. The building is old, classic and beautiful, but somewhat shabby. No one was picking up glasses or plates during the Kimpton wine hour so tables were full of dirty dishes.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return? Value is fair. Would probably try another hotel, but no major issues with this one for first timers.
