The cost of postage and printing is off set and in fact brings in revenue when members sign up for offers. Where is that a proven fact at? I am not an advertising specialist but find it hard to believe that the complete costs and a profit margin are derived from the occasional recipient who may use one of the services the mailer contains. I would imagine that they are making some $$$$ from the advertisements that the mailers are stuffed with. But even those vendors change frequently so I wonder how much “bang for the buck” the vendors get when advertising with NW in the mailer programs? The math would be interesting though.
You brought up a good point however regarding the on-line statements. I too already receive these and find the mailers redundant, outdated and a waist of resources when compared to the on-line version.
