It matters because, in my experience, the more vague an OP is, the more likely it is that there's only one side of the story being given, or that the underlying facts are actually quite different from what is initially written. It may be some minor service failure like the bath towels weren't made into origami swans, or it may be something major like four smells lumberjacks were given keys to the OP's room. The 'promise' of points may be more like "if you get in touch with head office they may be able to compensate you with a small gesture of points", or something else. It's always hard to give clear answers to vague questions/information.
