This is a little misleading. The ERs have been with the company since around 2000, when there was no such thing as a flat bed in biz. They got the herringbone seats around the time the LRs came into the fleet.

For rhe passenger they they are identical. Product is outdated but still comfortable with direct aisle access at every seat. I hate not being able to see out the window.

Both the ER and LR models will be getting the new “suites” (and premium select cabin) in the next year.
I didn't find the D1 product all that comfortable on ICN-ATL on the 772.
