Nearly all my experience is at YVR returning from US, Europe and Asia. Tendency seems to be they ask more questions than I would guess necessary, but not overly so. Can't recall going to secondary more than once or twice in the last 20 years or so, and then always very polite treatment. All in all, my minor beef is the clumsiness of CANPASS - I had the old cards and the machines never worked, and I haven't bothered yet to apply for the new one.
