I suspect the question is whether a 19-minute delay to a flight on which you were originally booked, but on which you did not fly, is a proper basis for claiming 261/2004 compensation for a 4½-hour delay to your arrival at your destination after you were rebooked to try proactively to minimise the delay that you might suffer. And I wonder whether another question is whether the involuntary rebooking (which it sounds like you didn't ask for) might count as an IDB.

ok. Hold my hands up to guessing the airport codes.

When end you say a “proper basis” do you mean this in moral or legal terms. I’m not looking to take the moral route here. Just the legal one.
