Can someone with deeper wisdom than I weigh in...

I received Plat status via AMEX Centurion when I got the card a year and a half ago. Last year, I flew the requisite 8 Delta flights in order to get my choice benefits.

This year, I’m not sure how it works. The website says I need to fly 8 segments following the receiving of complimentary status.

When does the clock start on this? I received the status two years ago. Does it renew upon the anniversary of the card or upon Jan 1? Something else?
