Perhaps I am seeing the additional award availability for Gold/Plat members. But when I checked awards BNE-LAX a few weeks ago, there was economy available every day for the two months I checked (August/September). Most days there were multiple routings available, and some days just the one. Many options were presented via AKL, SYD and MEL as well as the non-stop service. Some days I was presented with up to 10 different flight options.

But in that time, there were only a very dates that would offer me a business class option. And of course no first class options offered on-line since there are no F seats out of Brisbane anymore. So the only option to find F seats is to look ex-SYD or ex-MEL.
