About an hour ago I received a phone call from USAirways to say that my RDU-CLT segment tomorrow at 10:30 AM had been cancelled due to "crew being unavailable." Huh? The flight was scheduled to be on a CR7. I wonder why they scrapped the flight, which was booked solid, instead of trying to find a replacement crew given how early they realized that there was a problem. Any ideas? Are they really running so lean or is it just a matter of not having enough personnel qualified to fly the CR7?
