I've had repeated 'discussions' with management at this PH about the doorman service, which started out horrible, improved dramatically for a while, and was deteriorating again on my last stay.
Those folks are not there to hide out behind a podium, or even worse, in a back room. There are there to help guests. The title 'doorman' is especially appropriate at this hotel because the two sets of doors are hugely heavy when you have to open them by yourself.
I really wanted to talk to the GM about this yet again on my last stay but just didn't face up to it. But it sounds like it is time to face up to this again, which should never be necessary in a luxury hotel.
Housekeeping has improved here and was good on my last stay. I had no need for much interaction with the front desk on my last few visits so can't comment on that, but they definitely have screwed up at least one bill in the past.
