I got a parking ticket in my rental and paid directly to the city before the due date, however National caught wind and tried to charge me additional administration fees to pay the ticket. I sent National my proof of payment and they dropped all charges after seeing I already took care of it.
I appreciate all advice so far. Lets assume I deem furnishing and relaying any proofs to National too much hassle. This was National's M.O.: first a letter that they've charged $6+$14 to my card due to such-and-such toll. Now a month later, a letter that they'll charge another $38.85 + taxes "a week from latter letter". Problem is I was on vacay and never saw this second letter for 10 days.
So my query remains: no tel#/name was even provided. Just signed "Customer Service Dept"
The entire M.O. is so unlike the opposite fantastic service National routinely provides on all matters. I'm taken aback
