We had a trip in January we had to cancel because one of the passengers injured herself and wound up in the hospital. We used four SWUs, two of which expire in a few days and two of which expire in a year. The AAdvantage customer-service line put in a form to restore the two 2019 ones but said there was no way to do any sort of waiver or extension for the two 2018 ones. Anyone think there's any chance they would be nice to us and extend them for a few months if I email explaining the situation, or are we just out of luck?
