this was a question i had as well. i was beginning to think that i should be concentrating all my travel in the UA program with all of these upgrades. i know NW has unlimited upgrades, but they are time-restricted (100hrs plat, 72hrs gold, 24hrs silver). does UA have unlimited upgrades, or is it a set number (4)? how are additional upgrades earned/paid for?
