But if you're hauling heavy dress shoes, outerwear, or a 4 lb company-issued laptop, sprinting across an airport like Frankfurt may not be all that easy on your back. As a 50-something guy with an aging back, I've found that the Briggs 4-wheeled spinner makes traversing airports much easier than 2-wheels or a backpack convertible. I also have a predecessor to the Air Boss, the original Patagonia Maximum Legal Carryon. When it comes to non-business travel during the summer, the spinner stays home. My advice if you can't buy both types of luggage is to think carefully bout weight and maneuvarability.
