Hello, I was trying to follow this thread to see some examples of the point of a Starwood Ambassador or a Hyatt Concierge, especially in the sense of something I can't hopefully do with a short phone call to the program line anyhow. Originally when the WOH first came out and the bloggers all talked about how this new program would be, they touted the Hyatt Concierge as a big perk, just like the SPG Ambassador, and from the repies here, I can't even really see how high a value the SPG Ambassador is to the SPG program.

About the only thing I can think of in value from a Hyatt Concierge is resolving problems with accounting when a hotel for example charges you for breakfast when it should have been included but the front desk agent didn't properly take it off the bill. But even then I am not sure if that is what a Hyatt Concierge does.

Many people seem to think that the Hyatt Concierge can do upgrades over email - but with most of my stays I don't know if a suite upgrade is available or not, so I just phone to not only apply the upgrade, but to also search for an available hotel that I can use the upgrade at.
